| Description: |
The mutual recognition of public securities offerings in Australia and New Zealand took effect on 13 June 2008.
Under the Regime, an Australian issuer can now offer securities into New Zealand using its Australian prospectus or product disclosure statement (and vice versa), subject to certain minimal requirements.
This client alert examines:
- how the Regime benefits Australian issues;
- requirements for using the Regime;
- liability for issuers; and
- the future: mutual recognition regimes with other countries.
