Climate Change

Climate change is a global issue that cannot be overlooked. Our global environment is demanding a paradigm shift. Laws and policies have been created specifically to limit greenhouse emissions and will only increase in number.  Some will be liable. Others will find opportunity. Regardless, action is required — ignoring the issue is not a business option.

Climate Change Law is a new legal discipline combining traditional areas of law with new legal regimes. It is constantly changing and regularly involves assisting clients across multiple jurisdictions. It can only be learned through real practical experience.

At Baker & McKenzie, we have practiced climate change law for over 10 years. Through our network of more than 3,000 lawyers in more than 65 offices we have the world's largest and most experienced team of climate change lawyers working in developed, developing and least developed countries and which is independently recognized through numerous
awards. We are uniquely positioned to represent and advise our clients on the full range of local and international climate change issues and our significant experience in multiple jurisdictions has given us an understanding of the key opportunities and risks that climate law presents.
